Just Know that You Can Control Who Can Add You to Groups on WhatsApp With This New Update
It was earlier reported that group Privacy setting that creates you decide on who will invite you to a group or not was in works, currently, it's rolling resolute all beta testers.
The new group Privacy settings possibility permits you to blacklist certain contacts from inviting you to groups whereas still permitting group invitations from trustworthy sources.
To enable it, go to Settings in your app, then click Account > Privacy > Groups and select one of three options: "Nobody", "My Contacts", or "Everyone".
"Nobody" means you'll have to approve joining every group to which you're invited, and "My Contacts" means only users you have in your Contacts address book can add you to groups.

In those cases, the person adding you to a group will be prompted to send a private invite through an individual chat, giving you the choice of joining the group. You'll have three days to accept the invite before it expires.
With these new features, users can have additional management over the group messages they receive. These new privacy settings can begin rolling out to some users beginning today and can be out there worldwide within the coming weeks to those using the newest version of WhatsApp.
